Hüsnü Şenlendirici

 

Hüsnü Şenlendirici, who came from a musician family from Bergama, is one of the most important names who made the Turkish music and G clarinet widely known in all over the world. His first international experience was with his father Ergün Şenlendirici in “Magnetic Band” of Okay Temiz. Afterwards he founded his own band “Laço Tayfa” and their debut album “In the Buzbag” with “Brooklyn Funk Essentials”, has created an overwhelming impact in all over the world. Selim Sesler

 

Selim Sesler who is from a musician family, has begun his musical life with playing clarion. Afterwards, he has begun to play clarinet and has performed Gypsy and Rumelian music in Thrace, particularly in Keşan. In 1980’s he moved to Istanbul and became one of the most important representatives of Gypsy music. He has been playing with many world wide known musicians like Brenna MacCrimmon, recorded many albums and he involved to original soundtracks of Fatih Akın’s “Head-On” and “Crossing the Bridge: The Sound of Istanbul” movies. Selim Sesler plays Gırnata G Clarinet in all his works.

Vassilis Saleas

 

Vassilis Saleas, who is accepted as one of the most important clarinetists of the world and Greece, has learned clarinet from his father and uncle and became a master in young age. He has accompanied many musicians like Mikis Theodarakis and performed in many places of the world. Souhail Kaspar

 

Souhail Kaspar, who was born in Lebanon and trained at Nadi al-Fonun al-Arabia (Conservatory of Traditional Arabic Music) in Syria, was nominated to Grammy in 2008. Thanks to his world wide known brilliant technique and exciting performances, he has worked with many musician and band like Kenny Burrell, Shujaat Khan, Kronos Quartet, Cheb Mami, Dr. Scott Marcus, Roberto Miranda, Tito Puente, Sting, Strunz & Farah. Souhail Kaspar, who is currently giving concerts, making recordings and giving percussion lectures, plays HUBB Solo Wooden Darbuka, HUBB Frame Drum and HUBB Riqq for his works with great appreciation.

Suat Borazan (a.k.a. Almanyalı Suat - Suat from Germany)

 

Suat Borazan has begun to play darbuka at the age of 14 in Frankfurt and played with world wide famous musicians like John JR Robinson, Muhammed Fuat and Glen Velez.  With his own band “Harem”, he released four solo albums that being sold 52 countries and performed different places of the world. Suat Borazan, who is accepted as one of the most important darbuka players of the world with his hallmark style, prefers HUBB Wooden Darbuka and HUBB Ceramic Darbuka for his both stage performances and recordings.

 

   

İsmail Bergamalı

 

İsmail Bergamalı, who is one of the most important clarinetists of Turkey, is accepted as master of many new generation Turkish clarinetists and continues his works as an artist of TRT (Turkish Radio and Television) Izmir Radio. İsmail Bergamalı who has been taking place in concerts and recordings of TRT for many years, plays Gırnata G Clarinet.

 

   

   

Bülent Altınbaş (a.k.a. Kirpi - Porcupine)

 

Like most of the clarinetists, Bülent Altınbaş also comes from a musician family and has begun to play clarinet in young age. Because of his hallmark “stand on end” playing style, he gained the “Kirpi – Porcupine” nickname. He is one of the important representatives of clarinet in Turkish and Gypsy music and he has accompanied many musicians in both their stage performances and recordings. Bülent Altınbaş, who released four solo albums and took place in famous Buddha Bar series, prefers Gırnata G Clarinet.

   

   

Savaş Zurnacı (Çorlulu Savaş - Savaş from Çorlu)

 

Savaş Zurnacı, who is accepted as one of the best G clarinetists of Turkey, has begun to play clarinet at the age of 7, despite the opposition of his father. He played with many musicians like Okay Temiz, Burhan Öçal and Ahmet Özden and performed in many international concerts. Savaş Zurnacı, who also released solo albums and gives lectures in İstanbul Bilgi University, prefers Gırnata G Clarinet for his works.

   

   

Ahmet Özden

 

Ahmet Özden is one of the most important names who made the clarion and Turkish music widely known in all over the world and he is accepted as living legend of clarion. He is the founder of “Kumpanya İstanbul” and “Trakya Blues” bands, he played with many musicians like Okay Temiz, Ivo Papazov, Ergün Şenlendirici, Yıldız İbrahimova and Trilok Gurtu and he performed in countless international concerts. Ahmet Özden who also released his solo album “Zurna – Clarion”, prefers instruments that are manufactured by HUBB Instrument Workshop.

   

   

Tolga Akşit

 

Tolga Akşit is one of the best clarinetists of Turkey and lecturer in Aegean University State Conservatory of Turkish Music. Currently he performs both within the conservatory and many other places, accompanies many musicians and plays Gırnata G Clarinet with great appreciation.

 

 

 


   

Markus Schumacher / Äl Jawala

 

German band Äl Jawala, which synthesizes the Balkan beats with Funk music with great success, gained great appreciation and many fans in all over the world, with their five studio albums. Äl Jawala of which tracks took place in many compilations, have given countless concerts in all over Europe and got the “German Award for World Music” in 2007. Markus Schumacher, who is one of the founders of Äl Jawala and has worked with Shantel as a studio musician since 2005, prefers HUBB Solo Wooden Darbuka and HUBB Ceramic Darbuka for his works.

 

   

   

Berkant Çakıcı

 

Berkant Çakıcı, whose father is from Damascus, has begun his musical life with riqq at the age of ten and pursued his interest to percussion instruments with tabla and darbuka. At the age of sixteen, he worked with Kibariye and accompanied many musicians like Kudsi Ergüner, Sezen Aksu, İbrahim Tatlıses. Berkant Çakıcı, who worked with Anjelika Akbar in “Bach A L'orientale” project, performed with Aziza Mustafa Zadeh and Canadian drummer Ian McCuaig, prefers HUBB Solo Wooden Darbuka and HUBB Riqq for his works.
